Call for Nominations – CREW DC 2026 Board of Directors

As part of CREW DC’s governance process, some Board seats turn over each year. Board positions are held in two-year terms except for President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President, which entails a three-year commitment. Staggered terms of Board service balance renewal with continuity and are a best practice among volunteer-led associations.

The Board plays a vital strategic role as we continue pursuing CREW DC’s goals, including creating engagement opportunities for our members, providing business networking and connections, continuing our commitment to diversity, and creating an inclusive environment within our organization, and the industry.

Nominations are now being accepted for the open Board positions listed below.

  • President-Elect 2026 – (also Network Delegate in 2026)

  • Secretary – 2026/2027

  • Delegate - 2026/2027

  • Director – 2026/2027

  • Director – 2026/2027

  • Director – 2026/2027

  • Director – 2026/2027

  • Director – 2026/2027

2025 Board Members continuing to serve in 2026 are:

  • President – Ashley Campbell

  • Past President – Catherine Heath

  • Treasurer – Katherine Friedman

  • Director – Alison Johnson

  • Director – Michelle Reyman

  • Director – Jessica Rodriguez

Board Service is limited to CREW DC Members only. Only 2025 CREW DC Members may make nominations. Self-nominations are encouraged. Multiple nominations may be submitted on each nomination form. Multiple individuals may be nominated for any position.

Chaired by the Immediate Past President, a Nominating Committee reviews the qualifications of each nominee and prepares a slate containing one name for each position to be elected. The slate is presented to Membership for a vote in August.

Members making nominations do not have to verify the willingness of the individual to serve. After staff confirms the willingness of the individual to apply and serve, an application will be due no later than June 7, 2025.

Nominations close on June 7, 2025.

We encourage Members to nominate NOW so that nominees will have ample time to submit the application on or before the deadline.

Timeline:

  • Nominations Accepted: April 25 through June 7

  • Applicant Questionnaires Due: June 7

  • PE Candidate Interview: End of June

  • Nominating Committee notifies nominees of outcomes: July 28

  • Finalized slate presented to membership for vote: August 4
